1
Will my custom bag hardware design be sold to other buyers?

Carosung understands the importance of protecting customer designs, brand information, and confidential product development details.

Confidentiality and Design Protection

Where required, a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) can be arranged before confidential drawings, product specifications, or other proprietary information are shared.

Customer information is handled according to the applicable confidentiality commitments and project agreements.

Custom Molds and Product Designs

For projects involving exclusive designs or dedicated tooling, the parties can agree on the ownership, permitted use, storage, maintenance, and production scope of the molds and related design materials.

Custom tooling and design information are handled according to the agreed contractual arrangements. Any restrictions on producing or supplying the same or similar designs to other parties should be clearly documented in the relevant agreement.

Confidentiality in Marketing

Customer designs, logos, and project information should not be used in marketing materials without the appropriate authorization where required by the applicable agreement.

If a customer requires additional restrictions on product photography, case studies, exhibitions, or website displays, these requirements can be discussed and documented before the project proceeds.

How to Protect Your Project

For customers with highly distinctive designs or sensitive product launches, we recommend confirming the NDA, tooling ownership, authorized production quantities, and any exclusivity requirements in writing before tooling begins.

This helps both parties establish clear expectations and protect their respective commercial interests.

2
How do you ship bag hardware accessories, and how are they protected?

Metal bag hardware requires suitable packaging to protect its surface finish and prevent damage during handling and transportation. Carosung selects packaging according to the product, finish, order quantity, and shipping requirements.

Individual and Inner Packaging

Depending on the product, packaging options may include:

  • Individual OPP bags or other suitable protective packaging.
  • Separators or compartments to reduce contact between metal components.
  • Protective foam, trays, or cushioning materials.
  • Customized printed bags or retail gift boxes.

For mirror-polished or delicate finishes, suitable separation between individual pieces helps reduce the risk of scratches caused by metal-on-metal contact.

Outer Cartons and Transportation Protection

Finished products are packed in suitable export cartons. Carton strength, internal cushioning, and packing arrangements are selected according to product weight, quantity, stacking requirements, and shipping conditions.

For fragile or sensitive components, additional protective materials may be used where necessary.

Moisture and Corrosion Protection

For products that may be vulnerable to moisture-related corrosion, suitable protective packaging can be considered based on the material, finish, transportation route, and storage conditions.

Additional measures may include moisture barriers, desiccants, or corrosion-inhibiting materials where appropriate. These measures can reduce certain risks but cannot eliminate all possible corrosion under every transportation or storage condition.

Shipping Options

Air freight, express courier, and sea freight can be considered according to the order quantity, destination, budget, and delivery schedule.

Packaging specifications and shipping arrangements can be confirmed before production is completed.

3
What happens after I confirm the order?

Once the order is confirmed, Carosung coordinates production planning, material preparation, manufacturing, quality inspection, packing, and shipment.

1. Order Confirmation and Production Planning

The order specifications, quantities, approved drawings, surface finishes, packaging requirements, and delivery schedule are reviewed before production begins.

Where applicable, production documents and material requirements are prepared to guide the manufacturing process.

2. Material Preparation and Inspection

Materials and components are sourced according to the confirmed specifications. Incoming inspection and supporting documentation are handled according to the material, supplier records, and project requirements.

3. Manufacturing and Surface Finishing

Depending on the product, manufacturing may involve die-casting, stamping, CNC machining, polishing, assembly, PVD coating, electroplating, or other finishing processes.

The specific sequence depends on the product structure and the selected manufacturing and finishing methods.

4. Quality Inspection

In-process checks are carried out at relevant manufacturing stages. Final inspection may cover dimensions, appearance, color, assembly, and functionality according to the agreed specifications.

Additional tests or third-party inspections can be arranged where required and agreed for the project.

5. Packing and Shipment

Finished products are packed according to the confirmed packaging requirements. Shipping documents, such as commercial invoices and packing lists, are prepared as applicable.

Shipment arrangements and tracking information are provided according to the agreed logistics service.

Customers can confirm the expected production milestones and communication arrangements with our team when placing the order.

4
How long does it take to make a custom bag hardware sample?

Sample development time depends on the product design, manufacturing process, material, surface finish, and whether new tooling is required.

Stock Hardware with Custom Logos

For selected in-stock products requiring laser-engraved logos, samples can generally be prepared in 5–7 days, subject to stock availability and customization requirements.

Customized Products Using Existing Tooling

For customized products that can be manufactured using existing tooling, sample development generally takes around 20–25 days, depending on the product and finishing requirements.

Products Requiring New Molds

For products requiring new mold development, the sample development process generally takes around 30–35 days. This includes the relevant tooling, trial production, and sample finishing stages, subject to the project's complexity.

Complex mechanisms or special finishing requirements may require additional time.

Design Review and Prototype Evaluation

Technical drawings or 3D CAD models may be prepared during the initial development stage, depending on the information provided and the project's complexity.

Where useful, a preliminary prototype may be considered to assess dimensions or appearance before final metal tooling is produced. Prototype methods and timing are confirmed separately.

Sample Delivery

The times above refer to sample preparation and development, not international shipping. Courier transit time should be added when calculating the date the sample will arrive at the customer's location.

A project-specific schedule can be provided once the design, material, finish, and tooling requirements are confirmed.
