What happens after I confirm the order?

2026-10-19

Once the order is confirmed, Carosung coordinates production planning, material preparation, manufacturing, quality inspection, packing, and shipment.

1. Order Confirmation and Production Planning

The order specifications, quantities, approved drawings, surface finishes, packaging requirements, and delivery schedule are reviewed before production begins.

Where applicable, production documents and material requirements are prepared to guide the manufacturing process.

2. Material Preparation and Inspection

Materials and components are sourced according to the confirmed specifications. Incoming inspection and supporting documentation are handled according to the material, supplier records, and project requirements.

3. Manufacturing and Surface Finishing

Depending on the product, manufacturing may involve die-casting, stamping, CNC machining, polishing, assembly, PVD coating, electroplating, or other finishing processes.

The specific sequence depends on the product structure and the selected manufacturing and finishing methods.

4. Quality Inspection

In-process checks are carried out at relevant manufacturing stages. Final inspection may cover dimensions, appearance, color, assembly, and functionality according to the agreed specifications.

Additional tests or third-party inspections can be arranged where required and agreed for the project.

5. Packing and Shipment

Finished products are packed according to the confirmed packaging requirements. Shipping documents, such as commercial invoices and packing lists, are prepared as applicable.

Shipment arrangements and tracking information are provided according to the agreed logistics service.

Customers can confirm the expected production milestones and communication arrangements with our team when placing the order.

How long does it take to make a custom bag hardware sample?

Sample development time depends on the product design, manufacturing process, material, surface finish, and whether new tooling is required.

Stock Hardware with Custom Logos

For selected in-stock products requiring laser-engraved logos, samples can generally be prepared in 5–7 days, subject to stock availability and customization requirements.

Customized Products Using Existing Tooling

For customized products that can be manufactured using existing tooling, sample development generally takes around 20–25 days, depending on the product and finishing requirements.

Products Requiring New Molds

For products requiring new mold development, the sample development process generally takes around 30–35 days. This includes the relevant tooling, trial production, and sample finishing stages, subject to the project's complexity.

Complex mechanisms or special finishing requirements may require additional time.

Design Review and Prototype Evaluation

Technical drawings or 3D CAD models may be prepared during the initial development stage, depending on the information provided and the project's complexity.

Where useful, a preliminary prototype may be considered to assess dimensions or appearance before final metal tooling is produced. Prototype methods and timing are confirmed separately.

Sample Delivery

The times above refer to sample preparation and development, not international shipping. Courier transit time should be added when calculating the date the sample will arrive at the customer's location.

A project-specific schedule can be provided once the design, material, finish, and tooling requirements are confirmed.

How can I start working with Carosung?

Starting a project with Carosung involves a series of steps designed to clarify requirements, assess manufacturability, and confirm the product before mass production.

Step 1: Share Your Requirements

Customers can provide reference images, sketches, technical drawings, 3D CAD files, existing samples, or a description of the intended product.

Helpful information includes:

Product dimensions and functional requirements.

Preferred material and surface finish.

Logo application requirements.

Estimated order quantity.

Target budget and delivery schedule.

Packaging and destination market requirements, where applicable.

Step 2: Technical Review

Our team reviews the available information and assesses the design's manufacturing feasibility. Where necessary, we may request additional dimensions, clarify the intended function, or recommend design adjustments.

The time needed for this stage depends on the completeness of the information and the complexity of the project.

Step 3: Quotation and Sample Development

Once the requirements are sufficiently clear, we provide a quotation covering applicable tooling costs, sample charges, unit prices, estimated lead times, and other agreed requirements.

Samples are developed according to the product type and project scope. For new designs, tooling may be required before a finished metal sample can be produced.

Step 4: Sample Approval and Order Confirmation

Customers review the sample and confirm the required appearance, dimensions, function, and other agreed specifications.

Mass production proceeds after the relevant sample approval, order confirmation, and agreed payment arrangements.

Step 5: Production and Shipment

During production, quality inspections are conducted according to the agreed requirements. Finished products are packed and shipped using the selected logistics arrangements.

Shipping terms, such as FOB, CIF, or DDP, can be discussed according to the destination, order requirements, and agreed commercial conditions.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Carosung offers different minimum order quantities depending on whether the product is available from stock or requires customization.

Stock Hardware

The standard MOQ for selected stock hardware is 50 pieces per design, subject to stock availability and product requirements.

Selected stock items may also be customized with laser-engraved logos, depending on the product and logo design.

Customized Stainless Steel Hardware

The standard MOQ for customized stainless steel products is 200 pieces per design, subject to the product structure, manufacturing method, and finishing requirements.

Customized Zinc Alloy Hardware

The standard MOQ for customized zinc alloy products is 500 pieces per design, depending on the mold, structure, and production requirements.

Complex or Special Designs

Products with complex mechanisms, multiple components, special materials, or demanding finishing requirements may require a different MOQ. These projects are evaluated individually.

Pricing and Multiple Finishes

Unit prices generally vary according to order quantity, material, manufacturing process, surface finish, and packaging requirements.

For projects requiring multiple colors or finishes, the feasibility and minimum quantity for each finish should be confirmed separately. Using the same mold may avoid the need for an additional mold, but other finishing or production charges may still apply.

Contact us with your design, estimated quantity, and preferred finish for a project-specific quotation.

6
What quality tests does Carosung perform on metal bag hardware?

The appropriate tests depend on the material, surface finish, product function, intended market, and customer specifications. Carosung can evaluate testing requirements and arrange suitable inspections or laboratory testing according to the project.

Corrosion Resistance

Neutral salt spray testing, such as testing conducted according to ASTM B117, may be used to evaluate the corrosion performance of suitable finished hardware under specified conditions.

Test duration and acceptance criteria should be agreed according to the product and customer requirements. Salt spray results should not be treated as a direct prediction of service life in actual use.

Chemical Compliance

Where required, testing can be arranged to assess relevant restricted substances or other chemical requirements. The test scope should be based on the applicable regulations, product category, materials, and intended market.

Testing for lead, nickel release, or other substances should use appropriate methods and limits. The results apply to the samples tested and the scope of the report.

Mechanical Strength and Functionality

For products such as D-rings, hooks, buckles, and locking mechanisms, suitable mechanical tests may include tensile or pull testing, functional operation checks, and cycle testing.

Test methods and acceptance criteria should reflect the product design, intended application, and customer requirements. Specific strength or cycle-life values should only be claimed when supported by the relevant test results.

Coating Thickness and Adhesion

Where applicable, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) equipment can be used to measure coating thickness on suitable substrates and coating systems.

Coating adhesion can be evaluated using an appropriate test method selected for the specific coating and substrate. Not every test method is suitable for every type of metal finish.

Testing Arrangements

Some inspections may be performed in-house, while other tests can be arranged through qualified external laboratories. The available tests, testing frequency, applicable standards, and reporting arrangements should be confirmed for each project.
